On-going Projects
Each week we donate what we harvest at the farm to local food pantries. Here is a list of the pantries:
- Monday- Western Heights Baptist Center 525-9068
- Friday- YWCA 523-6126, KARM 673-6540
Also, each week we pick up around 600 lbs of food waste from Tomato Head, Three Rivers Market, Veg O Rama and The Golden Roast. This food waste composts into a rich organic fertilizer which we use on our farm.
Current Projects
Here’s what we are working on right now:
- Cobbing the inside of the Straw Bale Shed
- Adding 5 new berry beds & 30 new trees
- Constructing a LEED restroom and Energy Star Efficient Kitchen
- Constructing an Outdoor Classroom
- Designing and constructing educational signs on the farm
- Completing the BCF cookbook
- Planning the annual Beardsley Farm Festival
