Johnson Bible College works at Beardsley!
On Wednesday, September 9th, we had about 50 volunteers come from Johnson Bible College to help on our farm. They tackled many different tasks during their stay and their hard work definitely paid off.
Upon their arrival, we split them up into ten different teams. Each team accomplished a lot in their four hours of service. Here’s a list of some of what the groups did:
- Making dried herbal teas
- Painting and Cleaning the Chicken coop
- Cleaning out the pond
- Cleaning and organizing the barn
- Removing trash from the creek
- Planting cool season crops
- Weeding the Butterfly Garden
- Digging postholes
- Painting wood for raised beds
- Replacing the flower beds at the O’Conner Senior Center
They beautified Beardsley and helped with the preparation that needed to take place before our September 11 service day. We area so very thankful for the students and the work they did!
