AmeriCorps Workday
If you could have watched the AmeriCorps members working on Saturday, then you could understand why they chose to serve a year of their time. It seems they are natural servant leaders; not afraid to take on the tedious or dirty jobs. Eager to learn and have fun, they made the best of their volunteer work as they got to know each other better. Not only do they seem to have a deeply-rooted passion to help those around, but they also have initiative to act upon that passion.
Their 30 hands helped the farm tremendously. They did lots of weeding, lime plastering, composting and much more. We are so grateful for their help! Because you might see them around town working at their different sites, I’m going to mention their teams and their names. Check out the links and see what AmeriCorps members are doing in Knoxvill.
THANK YOU SO MUCH, AMERICORPS!
